RAD KI shares much needed base-line data on a volunteer basis with numerous species- specific conservation groups, universities, government entities and special interest groups in a hope to expand our current knowledge base around our highly data-deficient Great Southern Reef.

Kangaroo Island/Victor Harbor Dolphin Watch

Images and video footage are collected, identifying individual dolphins by distinctive dorsal fins and body markings. Vital data is recorded on movements and habitats creating a sustainable, longitudinal study of international significance. 

Happy Whale

Engages citizen scientists from around the globe to identify whales and track their voyages. With close to 200,000 identified encounters and over 77,000 individuals identified and tracked, a global understanding is now emerging through high conservation science and education.

Atlas of Living Australia

Opening up Australia’s biodiversity data via a communal portal with over 100 million occurrence records for all to access. 

Echidna CSI

Echidna CSI is an Australia-wide initiative that is helping to conserve wild echidnas. Thousands of Australians have sent photos of echidnas through the app. Echidna CSI has collected unprecedented data and material to help ensure the long-term survival of this iconic Australian animal.

Great Southern Reef Foundation

The Great Southern Reef Foundation is run by an independent team of science, media and education professionals working to promote the recognition, stewardship and long-term health of Australia’s kelp forests. We act as knowledge brokers between science and society, to deeply embed the importance of the Great Southern Reef (GSR) into Aussie culture.

Kangaroo Island Landscape Board

The Kangaroo Island Landscape Board (the Board) was established on 1 July 2020 under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019 to facilitate the sustainable management of Kangaroo Island’s natural resources, and to promote the formation of long-term and meaningful partnerships to better manage the island’s landscapes.

For over 120 years, Birdlife Australia has been at the forefront of bird conservation in Australia. Thanks to their supporters, and to the science which informs their actions, they have achieved some incredible outcomes for threatened birds – but now, we’re all facing our greatest challenge yet: Australia’s extinction crisis.
