Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation, and head straight for Seal Bay on Kangaroo Island’s south coast. This beach, now a protected zone within Seal Bay Conservation Park, is home to a colony of more than 800 Australian Sea-lions.
Spend 45 minutes with your guide on the beach among the Australia Sea-lion colony, before spending more time observing these incredible animals further from the scenic boardwalk, enjoying the lookouts along the way.
For an additional fee, you may choose to upgrade to the behind-the-scenes research experience where you will learn about the latest research being conducted, discover how equipment is used and collect valuable data to help monitor and aid the Australian Sea-lion. This experience is one of the most interactive and engaging conservation tourism experiences available, offering rare and exclusive access to one of Australia’s most iconic and endangered species.
After your Seal Bay experience, break for lunch at the Vivonne Bay Store, home to the famous whiting burger.
Spend the afternoon exploring Kangaroo Island’s beautiful southern beaches, including Vivonne Bay, Hanson Bay and Bales Bay. Enjoy clifftop walks, beach strolls and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way.
Following the tour, return to your accommodation.
